Account Manager
- Gameserver Administration
Note!
Under ESE Protection, it's
no longer possible to activate the TOST Tabs (Admintab, Gametab, etc...) in
the Console (Standardkey '~').
With the QuickConsole (Standardkey 'Tab') and with keybinds (i.e 'F5=ShowESETab')
they will function as before.
We recommend that you use keybinds to use the needed commands, f.e 'F7=ShowAdminTab',
'F8=ShowVoteTab'.
ESE-Admintab
As can be seen in the screenshot, a server
admin can kick, and ban players in the ESE Admin Tab - just like the TOST Admin Tab (except mute)
Settings Explained
ESE Mode: Here
you can select different Modes as to whether ESE is functional or not in-game
and for different client systems. This option is cyclable by clicking on the left
and right arrows to the side. You have 4 settings to choose from, which are shown
and explained below:-
'Enforced' forces every player when entering the game server to have ESE installed otherwise you will be kicked.
(ESE Support) (insert player nickname) was kicked; Reason: ESE Client not installed"
It it worth mentioning, this setting is not friendly to Mac or Linux users, and will prevent them from being able to play (see option 'Supported').
'Disabled' is self explanatory, it
will remove ESE support from the game server; meaning any player can join un-protected.
In order to prevent admin abuse, we notify all players joining the game server
that ESE is disabled, as well as during pre-round showing a "RED" Icon on the
left hand side. This icon disappears during active gameplay.
Note: There is a spam delay of 1 minute after disabling
ESE before it can be re-enabled. This is due to the severe load increase which
could possibly be abused to crash the Trust server.
'Optional' allows ESE to be used at
every individuals own preference. Those with ESE running will have a 'Green'
light in the Scoreboard, where those with it not running with have a 'Red' light.
'Supported' forces every player on a Windows Machine (98, 2000, XP, Vista and so on...) to run ESE, but allows those on un-supported operating systems (Mac and Linux) to play.
Name Mode: The
special feature included in the design and coding of ESE, is the Anti-fake
system which can be enabled and disabled at the server admin's choice
via the 'Name Mode'. This option is cyclable by clicking on the left and right
arrows to the side. You have 3 settings to choose from, which are shown and explained
below:-
'Real Nick (Windows)' forces all players
nicknames in the game server to the original nickname that they registered on
ESE with.
(ESE Support) {dTa}Ernie is now known as {dTa}aRny (ESE)
'Real Nick (Linux)' does exactly the
same as the above setting (Windows) however this is designed to be used on game
servers running on a Linux Box. Reason for this is, some player nicknames may
include special Chars and symbols which are not shown correctly on Linux systems.
'Any Nick' allows all players to join
the server (and/or change name during gameplay) with any nick they wish. ESE
will not force it to the nickname registered with.
We strongly recommend this option is only enabled for public use at the most,
as it enables players to "fake" other people and clans.
Ringer Check:
The 'Ringer Check' disallows players who have joined a clan on ESE Account Manager
within the last 10 days from using the tag.
This is good for checking whether any players fall under this category before
an official match is to be played, so you can check whether they are also registered
on the gaming league site.
ESE Local Bans:
With the ESE Local Ban Tab, a Game Server
Admin is able to view those whom have been banned via the "ESE Admin Tab" and
can check the duration of the ban length. Here an admin is able to 'Update' such
details as 'admin name' and ban 'reason'. of a player's ban can be specified the
same way as in TOST.
ESE League Ban System:
The ESE League Ban System is a server
side feature which allows league officials to make a mini-global-ban-list. Further
information can be found on the ESE Knowledge
Base (KB) site, under section: [ TOST Server-Settings ] - English
- ESE League Ban System
Note. This League Banlist system is an additional
feature and does not replace the ESE's own 'Global Banlist' for those whom
have only been detected cheating on an ESE protected server. If you fall victim
of such offence, you will be notified on connect and in your game console:
Please Note, this just an example!
Check Netspeed and Ping:
With this section you are able to 'monitor'
players settings and connection to the server and depending on the settings have
ESE automatically remove them from the server.
min. allowed Netspeed
With a 'min. allowed Netspeed' setting
enforced, this means any attempt by a player to change their Netspeed to a lower
value that decided by the Game Server Admin is rejected
max. Ping
With a 'max. Ping' setting enforced,
this means if any players ping goes above this value, ESE will automatically
remove them from the server for "too high ping"
