Like in every group or organisation we conduct a small test period with new comers on a trial basis so to speak, in order to see the impact they’ll have.. Or not unfortunately!


On 23rd February ’07 after much deliberation and thorough checks we finally added 18 new Beta Testers to our Team..
On 3rd March ‘07 we publicised our latest additions with a News Release.

Since officially welcoming them onboard towards the end of February, 2 weeks have past and we're coming down hard, kicking the first sign of the lazy and unwanted members.

It must be made clear from the very word go, to set an example to all our current and future prospects - that communication is vital and mainly via our own forums, so unless you’re there following the progress, keeping in the know-how and up to date with what’s going on with upcoming test sessions, you’re pretty much of no use to the ESE team.
The suns been out the majority of the day and with the weather approaching only bound to get better we’ve decided to take action with a little Spring finery and remove some of the new and past timers whom have run to an end.

The following is a list of players removed from our member list;

Ikarus - has left the Test Team on his own wishes after the trouble / flame on some community page

Of course not all of them simply lacked motivation and dedication and did in fact have personal crisis which without a doubt become their top priority, however to us as a team; thriving to do our upmost to deliver a quality program with minimal bugs we HAVE to continue forward, evolving and strengthen up our unit and removing excess baggage along the way.
Thanks to you all, for taking out your own time and willing to participate in a project this inevitably will help everyone. Of course there were moments when you were vital to the progress of our development and we will never forget! “Some wish it to happen, others make it happen”

This was the first and last time we advertise for new Beta testers. It cost us too much time and effort to examine each application in detail, checking user history and contacts as to not harbour a cheater or someone affiliated helping externally by handing out sensitive information and files.
This of course does not mean we’ll no longer accept direct applications via PM or email, but it’s best you jot down specific good reasons as to why you from many others are more worthy for a position than most, preferably with good references and known within the community as responsibly, reliable and efficient!
We’ll mainly concentrate on an 'invite only' standard. I’m sure most of you will cooperate, backing and lending us your support further.

Wie in jeder Gruppe oder Organisation gibt es auch bei uns so was wie eine Testzeit bei neuen Tester um sie kennen zulernen. Auch wird diese Zeit genutzt um zu begutachten wie wichtig es den Neulingen mit ESE ist und ob sie unseren Anforderung entsprechen.

Am 23. Februar wurden intern 18 Tester soweit aufgenommen und eingewiesen.
Am 03. März gab es die öffentlichen News, in denen die neuen Tester kurz vorgestellt wurden.

Zwischen der 'Einstellung' und heute sind 2 Wochen vergangen und wir kommen zu dem Entschluss, die ersten inaktiven / faulen Tester wieder aus dem Team zu entsorgen :(

Es sollte von Anfang an klar gewesen sein, dass das Forum unsere Hauptkommunikationsplattform ist und wir da sehr großen Wert auf Aktivität legen. Im Forum gibt es die brandheißen News zu neuen Testsession usw.
Nebenbei scheint draußen die Sonne und der Frühling nähert sicht, folglich haben wir auch gleich einen großen Frühjahrsputz mit angeschlossen und auch inaktive alte Tester aus dem Team ausgeschlossen.

An dieser Stelle noch mal danke an alle Tester die ihre Zeit geopfert haben um uns zu unterstützen bzw. zu helfen. Jedoch wollen wir einen recht hohen Qualitätsstandart erreichen und benötigen dazu hochaktive Tester. Es nutzt uns nichts wenn wir 50 Tester in unserer Staff-Site haben, wovon nur 5 aktiv sind.
Wir werden euch nie vergessen und wir werden immer dran denken: "Es gibt einige die wollen, dass es passiert... und es gibt einige die machen etwas damit es passiert ^.~ )

Das hier war das erste und sehr wahrscheinlich das letzte mal, dass wir nach neuen Betatestern öffentlich gesucht haben. Die Aktion hat meines Erachtens nach zu viel zeit in Anspruch genommen, angefangen bei den Bewerbungschecks und jetzt anschließend beim Prüfen wie sich die Tester verhalten. (Jeder der einen Clan leitet sollte es sich so vorstellen, dass er zuerst einmal ~80 Bewerbungen abarbeiten muss und anschließend seine 18 Schützlinge überprüfen muss auf Tauglichkeit)
Das bedeutet natürlich nicht, dass wir keine direkten Bewerbungen mehr annehmen, jedoch sollte der Bewerber ein paar gute Gründe haben, warum wir ausgerechnet Ihn nehmen sollen. Ansonsten werden wir wieder dem 'invite-only style' uns anschließen.
