This is an informative news bulletin only, no release this time.. sorry!

please check the update

TO-Masterserver
"TO will die because the MasterServer is down and they stopped the Support"

This was one line echoing around the TO community back `n forth from various people about the master server query issue... god it's like Chinese Whispers!!

Did ANYONE ask (and actually wait for an answer) from the owner of the Masterserver before they spread such absurd rumours? I don't think so....

So the holy ESE-Team made a support ticket via the Gamespy website as to what happend, which in fact any one was able to do. After some days we got an answer about the problem:

If you didn't know, Gamespy is from IGN Entertainment.
Currently the Masterserver is back up and working again - so no panic folks!

The ESE-Virus
Since some days Avira AntiVir think that the ESE.dll is a trojan. We had some problems with NOD32 Antivirus in the past but they got resolved with cooperation from NOD32 team and ourselves .. now that has been fixed here comes the next Antivirus company to join the list...

A temp Solution can be found here: http://www.fun-zogger.de/Bilder/antivir.jpg
(Apologies for the unprofessional diagram, this was given to us by member of community to which we are very thankful for)

The Problem is, this particular Antivir can't "read" our software because it is highly protected. Some Trojans may use the same software to protect their trojan for instance, hence our software flagging up as a virus/trojan. We checked our ESE.dll unprotected with Avira Antivirus and the Antivirus couldn't find anything.

We look to get this formally fixed with Avira so it does not come up in future scans, however as with NOD32 this could take time, to which we have no idea on length. Please be patient and use the temporary fix until further notice.

02.10.2008 update:
If you have any problems with the ESE.dll - please go to your 'AccManager -> update ->' and install again the Client. There is a new protected Version of the same Client.
Note: the source code are exactly the same, nothing has been changed- so it is the SAME Client like the previous and which most will continue to use - only a new protected file, that AntiVir does not flag as a trojan/virus.
Please let us know if there are lag issues with this NEW Version. Thanks

Donation
Well, we want to thank all people who made a donation and continue to make further financial support. There are a lot of friendly, kind hearted people out there which see the best in our efforts and our desire to help this community than we anticipated. The whole ESE team would like to send our sincere Thank you to you all.

ESE Errorcode 306
MadMax found a temporary fix for the Registration Problem with "unknown Errorcode" 306. It is a temp solution - so if you read this news some days after the published date, it is quite possible that it no longer works again. So if you had this Errorcode 306 problem prior to this news release, try to register your account again NOW and let us know if it worked. Thanks.

Hell0,

TO-Masterserver
